Eastern Region Tchoukballers Take Trophy in Geneva Beach Tchoukball Championships

Tchoukball players from Norfolk and Suffolk combined this weekend to win the 2006 International Beach Tchoukball Championships in Geneva, Switzerland.
Players from Broadland Tchoukball Club near Martham, Norfolk and Sudbury in Suffolk formed the Eastern Region squad.
The competition was played over 2 days in the centre of Geneva city centre in front of hundreds of players, supporters and tourists.
The Eastern Region team won all its games including the final in straight sets against Swiss team Lausanne.
This competition served as excellent preparation for the 6 players who will all be representing Great Britain in the European Tchoukball Championships in August 2006.
